Actor and comedian Paul Reiser has had great success during his tenured career, breaking out at first as a stand-up comedian, then moving into hit TV shows and movies.
But with all his accolades, he has never forgotten who has influenced and steered him along the way, including comedic legend Carl Reiner, who recently passed away.
Reiser remembered his departed friend on NY1, calling him “the best dinner companion you’d ever meet.”
“There was no more interesting, charming guy, who had met everybody and had a thousand stories. There literally could never be another one like him,” he added.
Reiser also spoke on his latest project, The Kominsky Method.
The series also stars Michael Douglas and Alan Arkin. But it's Reiser's role as the older love interest in the show to Michael Douglas's daughter that's now receiving Emmy buzz.
“It was a joy, and it was so easy…they know what they’re doing,” he said.
Reiser also spoke on the pandemic and the state of the country: “I think it’s fair to say everyone’s exhausted. It’s just been such a whirlwind of activity.”
Reiser joined Mornings On 1 via Skype.
