State officials, led by New York Attorney General Letitia James, filed a federal lawsuit against the Trump Administration yesterday in response to its move to bar New Yorkers from enrolling or re-enrolling in Global Entry and other federal trusted traveler programs.
The Department of Homeland Security suspended the programs in response to the state's Green Light Law, which allows undocumented immigrants to apply for driver licenses.
But James claims in the suit that no one should ever use the nation's security as a political weapon, let alone the commander-in-chief.
The news comes just after Morning Anchor Pat Kiernan sat down with the top prosecutor to talk about her top priorities, her unlikely rise in New York politics, and who she looks to for inspiration.
