Kathy Ireland has spent decades on and off the runway, becoming one of the fashion industry's most iconic supermodels. 

She graced the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition and other fashion magazines many times over before making a name for herself in the business world.

Now, add author to her list of accomplishments.  

"Fashion Jungle" is Ireland's first novel, and is based on true events in the modeling industry. 

With Fashion Week kicking off in the city on Thursday, Pat Kiernan sat down with Ireland to talk about her career and what inspired her to write a book.
