This Sunday will mark the half a century milestone for the iconic children's program.
It was the first show created primarily for preschoolers and paved the way for learning, inclusion and diversity on screen.
Since its 1969 debut, "Sesame Street" has become the most widely viewed children's show in the world, and continues to push boundaries in children programming today.
