1. New York City votes on Election Day in November general election
Election Day has arrived, and many New Yorkers will head to the polls to vote in a variety of races, including the race for president.
New Yorkers who did not vote early or by mail have until 9 p.m. to cast their votes.

2. 'Through the finish line': Rep. Jeffries makes final push in bid to flip U.S. House, become speaker
After spending most of October crisscrossing the country to stump for U.S. House candidates nationwide, Brooklyn Rep. Hakeem Jeffries ended the campaign season back home, with a final blitz across New York’s hotly contested congressional districts.
The goal: flip enough Republican seats to secure a Democratic House majority, making him the next House speaker.
3. New York City is under a 'drought watch'
Officials announced a "drought watch" in New York City.
“We first do a watch that is really preparatory, then if necessary we will go to a warning. Then the real issues, the real constraints, the mandatory efforts come when it is an emergency and part of what we are trying to do now is stave off that emergency,” Commissioner of the Department of Environmental Protection Rohit Aggarwala said.
