1. MTA riders give their highest marks to the L, G, Q and 7 lines: survey
MTA riders are most satisfied with the L, G, Q and 7 lines, a new semiannual survey released by the MTA on Monday found.
The agency said the survey gathered feedback from riders’ customer experience across the New York City Transit, Metro-North Railroad and the Long Island Rail Road, resulting in more than 268,000 responses.
2. Mayor Adams’ chief of staff to depart administration
Mayor Eric Adams’ chief of staff and longtime advisor is departing his administration at the end of the year, the mayor’s office confirmed Monday.
Frank Carone was a power broker in Brooklyn politics for years, helping guide Adams from borough hall to Gracie Mansion. He served as chief counsel to the Kings County Democratic Committee and as Adams’ personal lawyer.
3. Gillibrand, Carlson partner to rein in NDAs in sexual harassment cases
The #MeToo movement is one step closer to potentially another victory on Capitol Hill. Last week, the Senate Judiciary advanced bipartisan legislation taking aim at non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) that prevent the victims of sexual harassment and assault from speaking out publicly.
Called the Speak Out Act, the legislation aims to prohibit the use of NDAs to prevent workers from sharing their stories. It would apply to NDAs signed before a dispute, according to Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand’s office.
