As we count down to Earth Day on Friday, there's another countdown happening that climate activists want you to know about. It's called the Climate Clock, which launched in September of 2020 in Union Square.
The Climate Clock shows the critical time window remaining for humans to prevent the worst effects of climate change from becoming irreversible.
As of now, activists say there are fewer than seven-and-a-half years left to make the necessary changes.
The creators of the Climate Clock sat down with NY1's Cheryl Wills on "Live at Ten" to talk about how the clock works, and what can be done to mitigate climate change.
