State Assemblymember Alycia Hyndman (NY-29) appreciates having a seat at the table and being a vocal agent of change in her role. Though she didn't envision herself as a legislator initially, she enjoys having a positive impact on her community and New York State.

Hyndman's top legislative priority is improving transportation infrastructure in her district by increasing access to railways. Her greatest accomplishment was passing legislation that recognized Juneteenth as a statewide holiday.

She would describe her district as being full of "resilience, perseverance, and opportunities." She would love to have lunch with Vice President Kamala Harris.
