New York State Senator James Skoufis' (D-39) district is home to Storm King Arts Center, one of the state's largest sculpture museums. 

In his Know Your Electeds, Skoufis talks about the "incredible scope" of work offered by working in the legislature. He also describes his greatest accomplishment, namely fighting for universal full-day kindergarten in New York State. 

Skoufis has served as a member of the New York Senate since 2019. His first job was working as a custodian at his old high school.
