Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem joined Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents early Tuesday morning in a raid of three locations in New York City — two in the Bronx and one in Manhattan.

Meanwhile, President Donald Trump’s administration has tried to institute a funding freeze on a wide range of federal grants and loans.

A federal judge late this afternoon blocked the action, which White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said would target things like diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives.

Jasmine Gripper and Ana María Archila, co-directors of the New York Working Families Party, joined NY1 political reporter Bobby Cuza on “Inside City Hall” Tuesday to talk more about Trump’s policies and reflect on his first full week in office.

“Trump is attempting to distract us with his reality TV-like antics, while at the same time, he is trying to end programs that provide direct assistance to New York,” Gripper said. “We need New York leadership to be bold.”

“The mayor is really failing in his most fundamental task of representing the interests of New Yorkers in this moment,” Archila said.
