Mayor Adams remains defiant in the face of growing calls to for him to resign after he pleaded not guilty to federal corruption charges Friday.
Brooklyn Assemblywoman Rodneyse Bichotte Hermelyn represents all or parts of Flatbush, Ditmas Park and East Midwood. She’s also the chair of the Brooklyn Democratic Party and a longtime ally of the mayor.
Bichotte Hermelyn joined “Inside City Hall” Friday to discuss what could come next for Mayor Adams.
“The charges definitely are alarming,” Bichote Hermelyn said. “Right now, we are waiting for the mayor to have his day in court. Let’s hear the real evidence. A grand jury is very different than a real trial. As you hear all the time, anybody can get indicted, you can indict a ham sandwich.”
