On Friday, state Sen. Jessica Ramos announced she will join the 2025 mayoral race.
So far, the Democratic field includes City Comptroller Brad Lander, with former City Comptroller Scott Stringer and state Sen. Zellnor Myrie both forming exploratory committees.
This all comes as Mayor Eric Adams faces multiple ongoing investigations and lawsuits.
Ramos joined NY1 political reporter Bobby Cuza on “Inside City Hall” to discuss her bid.
She serves as chair of the Labor Committee. Her district includes all or parts of Jackson Heights, Corona, East Elmhurst and Flushing in Queens.
