New Yorkers have consequential congressional races on the ballot in November, including for U.S. Senate.

Democratic Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand is being challenged by Republican Mike Sapraicone.

He’s a retired NYPD detective who later formed a private security firm.

Sapraicone joined NY1 political reporter Bobby Cuza on “Inside City Hall” Tuesday from inside the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee.

"People see it's time for a change. I always believed timing is important and I think we're certainly at a point in our lives here in New York where we need change," he said.
