The fight for more affordable housing continues to be a major issue for New Yorkers.

On Thursday, the New York Housing Conference released a new report tracking which neighborhoods have produced the most new affordable housing.

The report breaks down housing construction by City Council district, with three Council districts in the Bronx leading the pack.

Rafael Salamanca’s district ranked number one — creating the most new units last year and over the last decade.

The report also finds that a majority of new affordable housing is being built in lower income and minority communities.

It also includes a number of recommendations for ensuring more housing gets built in the five boroughs.

Rachel Fee, the executive director of the New York Housing Conference, joined NY1 political reporter Bobby Cuza on “Inside City Hall” Thursday to talk more about the third annual Housing Tracker report.

“We have neighborhoods that just aren’t doing their fair share,” Fee said. “We have some important policy changes we need to make happen to make sure that we’re building housing in every neighborhood.”
