Public Advocate Jumaane Williams delivered his annual State of the People address earlier Wednesday.

He touched on everything from affordable housing to the migrant crisis to public education.

He also introduced some new initiatives that his office is planning to launch this year, including an online platform for tenants and a youth civic hub in partnership with local organizations.

Jumaane Williams joined NY1 political anchor Errol Louis on “Inside City Hall” Wednesday to talk more about this and more.

“We have ways to address [fear], and as I said in the speech, like, the city is always facing some kind of crisis or the other and we always make it through,” he said. “So, let’s try to use that pathway instead of the division pathway.”
