Jimmy Breslin was known for his witty writing style and for telling the tales of ordinary people who often aren’t part of the headlines.

Besides many of Breslin’s best newspaper columns, the new anthology collection includes two of his books “How the Good Guys Finally Won,” which has been recognized as one of the best accounts of the Watergate scandal, and “The Short Sweet Dream of Eduardo Gutierrez,” the story of a Mexican migrant who becomes a day laborer in Brooklyn.

Dan Barry, a longtime reporter and columnist at The New York Times, joined NY1 political anchor Errol Louis on “Inside City Hall” Thursday to talk about Breslin’s work and career as the anthology’s editor.
