The National Urban League released its annual State of Black America report this month.

It explores the impact and legacy of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 60 years later, and shows Black Americans are slowly making progress in reaching true racial equality, coming in at about 75% compared to their white counterparts.

There’s more work to be done. The report says the income gap between white and Black households remains above 60% now.

Also, fewer Black Americans are registered to vote or exercising their right to vote than ever before.

The report concludes that at the current rate of change. It could take hundreds of years for Black Americans to achieve true equality.
