Mayor Eric Adams delivered his State of the City address on Wednesday.
He focused on initiatives like shutting down illegal smoke shops, targeting social media companies to protect youth mental health and creating jobs in the clean energy sector.
The mayor also detailed his plan to build 12,000 affordable housing units this year and to assemble a Tenant Protection Cabinet that would focus on ensuring the rights of New Yorkers.
As for the migrant crisis, Adams continued calls for more assistance from the federal government.
Camille Joseph Varlack, the mayor’s chief of staff, joined NY1 political anchor Errol Louis on “Inside City Hall” Wednesday to discuss the address and more.
