Housing advocates and some councilmembers are calling on the Adams administration to make changes to the city’s housing voucher program, as now mandated by law.

The reforms are part of a package of bills the City Council passed last year — over Adams’ veto.

The Adams administration said it cannot implement the changes by a legally imposed deadline, adding it doesn’t have enough money because of the exploding migrant crisis.

City Council Speaker Adrienne Adams is warning that the council will take legal action if the city doesn’t make progress by Feb. 7.

Deputy City Council Speaker Diana Ayala, one of the sponsors of the legislation and whose district includes parts of northern Manhattan and the South Bronx, joined NY1 political anchor Errol Louis on “Inside City Hall” Thursday to discuss more.

She’s also the chair of the Committee on Rules, Privileges and Elections.
