After two years representing parts of the Bronx, City Councilwoman Marjorie Velázquez’s time in the City Council is coming to an end.

Last month, the Bronx Democrat lost her reelection bid to first-time Republican candidate Kristy Marmorato.

The surprise upset marked the first time in 40 years that a Republican from the borough was elected to City Council.

The district includes Throggs Neck, City Island, Pelham Bay, Morris Park and Country Club.

Velázquez joined host Errol Louis on “Inside City Hall” Tuesday night to talk more about what’s next for her.

“I’ve been a district leader since 2014,” Velázquez said. “What it means is going back to the roots of organizing and making sure as [Democrats] that we’re delivering our message.”
