The city is one step closer to meeting its climate goals.
The City Council approved a measure on Wednesday that boosts green infrastructure projects.
The Adams administration initiative, known as “The City Of Yes for Carbon Neutrality”, is a zoning amendment aimed at helping city property owners more easily embrace climate-friendly technology.
That includes installing solar power on buildings, and to help facilitate the transition to electric vehicles with more chargers.
The city says the changes will help the city cut carbon emissions 80% by 20-50, according to the Paris Climate Accords.
Dan Garodnick, director of the Department of City Planning and Chair of the City Planning Commission, joined Errol Louis on “Inside City Hall” Thursday night to discuss the zoning changes.
