A new political action committee has launched and is aimed at getting more young New Yorkers elected.

Organizers hope to raise more than $50,000 by the end of the year to back mainly Gen Z and young Millennials who want to run for state seats next year or the City Council in 2025.

They believe with a larger financial network, more young candidates will have the resources and endorsements that they need to run for office

Up Next NY is guided by an advisory board of young New Yorkers as well.

Founders Emmitt Sklar, Brooklyn borough advocate for the office of the city’s public advocate, and Sadia Kauser, law student and fellow at the office of the state attorney general, joined NY1 political anchor Errol Louis on “Inside City Hall” Friday to discuss more.
