As e-bikes have increasingly become a more common way to navigate the city’s streets, they’ve also brought a rise in accidents and crashes.

A new report shows e-bikes cause 19 times more deaths per vehicle than regular bikes.

In response, lawmakers are working on ways the state can better regulate the motorized vehicles.

This includes rolling out an e-bike safety course and collecting better data on e-bikes in the city.

Assemblyman Alex Bores, a sponsor of the report, joined NY1 political anchor Errol Louis on “Inside City Hall” Wednesday to discuss all this and more.

His district in Manhattan includes the Upper East Side, Midtown East and Murray Hill.
