Rowan Wilson's nomination is now moving forward to the full state Senate after the Senate Judiciary Committee voted to approve Governor Kathy Hochul’s choice.

While the process this time around has been smoother, there are some opposing Wilson's confirmation as the state's next chief judge.

The National Organization for Women New York, also known as NOW-NYC, penned a letter to the Senate Judiciary Committee calling for Wilson's nomination to be rejected.
