Rowan Wilson is set to be the state's next chief judge after the state Senate voted to confirm him on Tuesday.

It was Gov. Kathy Hochul's second time nominating someone for the job, after Democrats in the state Senate rejected her first choice, Hector LaSalle.

Wilson has most recently served on the Court of Appeals for the past six years.

Alice Fontier, the managing director of the Neighborhood Defender Service of Harlem, joined Errol Louis on “Inside City Hall” Tuesday night to discuss her former colleague. Wilson, 62, served as the chairman at Neighborhood Defender Service of Harlem for 21 years.
