State lawmakers are expected to pass a two-week budget extender on Monday as Gov. Kathy Hochul and legislative leaders negotiate changes to bail reform. 

Meanwhile, a group of lawmakers made an unannounced visit to Rikers Island Thursday as negotiations continue.

Assemblymember Latrice Walker is set to begin a hunger strike Sunday in protest of the proposals. This is the second year in a row that she'll go on a hunger strike.

Walker, who represents parts of Brooklyn, including Brownsville, joined Errol Louis on “Inside City Hall” Friday to discuss more.
