Five Brooklyn nonprofits were awarded a prestigious prize for their commitment to racial and social justice.
The Brooklyn Community Foundation’s Spark Prize highlights organizations for serving communities of color.
Each award winner is given a $100,000 general operating grant, which provides organizations with flexibility over how to use the funds.
Yamilée Toussaint Beach, the CEO and founder of STEM From Dance and one of the prize recipients, and Jocelynne Rainey, president and CEO of the Brooklyn Community Foundation, joined Errol Louis on “Inside City Hall” Friday to discuss more.
