A report published Monday by Civilian Complaint Review Board, the NYPD's oversight agency, found dozens of officers used excessive force during the protests following George Floyd's murder in 2020.

Arva Rice, the interim chair of the CCRB, joined Errol Louis on "Inside City Hall" Monday to discuss the report's findings.

Part of the report includes the board's recommendations to the NYPD, none of which the department is required to follow.

These include making officers’ names and shield numbers clearly visible during protests, not taking action against people who are complying with orders, giving the CCRB direct access to body camera footage. And proper training for officers on crowd control methods.
