The city continues to deal with mental health challenges throughout the five boroughs. 

According to the Mayor’s Office of Community Mental Health, one in five New Yorkers experience mental illness within a year. 

Along with the newly-formed Mayor’s Office of Community Mental Health, the city is also using the Clubhouse model, which has a focus on social reintegration and providing access to employment, housing and skills development.

Ken Zimmerman, the CEO of Fountain House, a national mental health nonprofit that's behind the Clubhouse model, joined Errol Louis on “Inside City Hall” Wednesday to discuss more.
