The City Council voted to approve Innovation QNS, a $2 billion development that will bring 3,200 apartments to Astoria, Queens, after months of debate over the project.
Councilwoman Julie Won, who represents several neighborhoods in western Queens, initially withheld her support from the project until she was able to win concessions from developers, which included adding more affordable housing options.
Won joined Errol Louis on “Inside City Hall” Wednesday to discuss the largest redevelopment project in the borough.
