Eddie Bautista, executive director of NYC Environmental Justice Alliance, joined Bobby Cuza on “Inside City Hall” Thursday to discuss his new effort with other community organizations that establish a new air and heat monitoring program.
The groups will measure air quality and hot spots, particularly in neighborhoods that are disproportionately affected by pollution, including the East Village, Manhattan and Hunts Point in the Bronx.
Bautista also weighed in on the State Assembly holding a hearing on the Build Public Renewables Act, which would make the state a much larger provider of renewable energy.
He reflected on the Schumer-Manchin funding deal for provisions addressing the climate crisis.
