Mayor Eric Adams announced Friday that he'd like to end the mask mandate for city students under five years old within the next week.
However, COVID-19 cases have been climbing all around the five boroughs, with most cases being driven by the omicron subvariant BA-2.
Dr. Mitchell Katz, president and CEO of the city's Health + Hospitals system, joined "Inside City Hall" and spoke to Errol Louis on the mask mandate for toddlers and the complications of creating a vaccine fit for children under five years old.
