President Joe Biden is calling on Congress to pass sweeping voting rights legislation that has stalled amid Republican opposition.

This comes as the White House is also focused on a massive infrastructure package and continues to push COVID-19 recovery efforts. As part of that, starting this week, families with children will begin receiving a child tax credit, a major relief for working families.

Democratic Congressman Hakeem Jeffries, who represents parts of Brooklyn and Queens, joined political anchor Errol Louis on Inside City Hall to discuss the latest efforts in Washington D.C.

The congressman also weighed in on the outcome of the Democratic mayoral primary where Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams emerged as the winner.
