Most of the borough president primary races have been called, including the race in Brooklyn. Councilman Antonio Reynoso has been declared the projected winner in the Democratic primary, with a sizable lead over Assemblywoman Jo Anne Simon, The race, which featured 14 candidates, is set to be officially certified next week.
Reynoso, who ran on a platform focused on police reform and affordable housing, would succeed Eric Adams if he wins the November general election. He joined political anchor Errol Louis on “Inside City Hall” on Thursday evening to reflect on his path to victory and to talk about his vision for the borough.
