Sources say Albany lawmakers have reached a deal, or are very close to one, to legalize the adult use of recreational marijuana.
The deal includes stipulations to encourage the participation of small businesses, as well as a social equity fund that would use some of the revenue generated by cannabis sales on job placement and after-school programs.
Melissa Moore, New York state director at the Drug Policy Alliance, joined anchor Bobby Cuza on “Inside City Hall” on Wednesday to discuss the legislation.
