We are talking about efforts to battle food insecurity in upstate New York communities this weekend on In Focus.
JoDee Kenney sat down with Tom Nardacci, executive director of the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York. He spoke about how every community in the state faces food insecurity. The Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York helps roughly 350,000 people a month in Eastern New York.
The organization also works with Nourish New York which was created during the pandemic. They use funds to buy food from local farms. The Food Bank recently opened a new facility in Orange County to service the food insecure in the Hudson Valley.
