Rev. Al Sharpton has a special connection to the Apollo Theater, home to the In Focus hour long Harlem Week special.

His dad, who died when he was very young, used to bring him to the Apollo to share the music of James Brown.

He joined Cheryl Wills to talk about, not only his connection to the Apollo, but to Harlem, where his National Action Network headquarters is located.

This is a neighborhood hit especially hard by the pandemic, and Rev. Sharpton talks about how NAN worked to feed hungry Harlemites and bring financial help to the community with help from historic institutions like Carver Bank.
