Brooklyn Councilmember Farah Louis talked about Equal Pay Day and what needs to change in order to bring the gender wage gap to a close.

Louis also discussed the Shirley Chisholm Women's History Month she co-hosted. She explained why she fights so hard for mothers amid a maternal mortality crisis in New York.

Louis said the City Council is working to permanently implement help, especially since people of color are disproportionately impacted.
