Sickle Cell/Thalassemia Patients Network President Ginger Davis joined "In Focus" to define sickle cell thalassemia.

Davis talked about gene editing therapy and how sickle cell research has provided DNA-led breakthroughs in the medical community.

She also explained how CRISPR is a treatment and not a cure.
