City Commissioner of Cultural Affairs Laurie Cumbo explained how Mayor Eric Adams has provided the second largest budget to her department in its history.
Cumbo also talked about how she also secured funding for Sesame Flyers, an organization based in Brooklyn.
She discussed how hip-hop made an enormous impact on the city's culture and how it's still part of New York arts to this day.
Finally, Cumbo said Broadway has slowly made its comeback after the pandemic shutdown.
