Bronx Borough President Vanessa Gibson joined “In Focus” to discuss poverty.

The borough president talked about how the Bronx has the highest poverty rate in the state and how her office is tackling the issue.

Gibson shared how combatting poverty is not just about livable wages, but also education, workforce and health support.

The borough president explained how October is also Domestic Violence Awareness Month, which is one of the leading causes of homelessness.
