Ann Marie Adamson of the West Indian American Day Carnival Association joined "In Focus" to talk about Caribbean culture.
Adamson talked about the importance of the West Indian American Day Parade to Caribbean Americans. She shared this year's theme and how she is one of the grand marshals of the Labor Day parade.
Adamson also explained the cultural significance of the parade and how this tradition dates back decades.
She also talked about how each country in the West Indies may call the holiday something different, but that they all share the same joyful message.
