Lieutenant Governor Antonio Delgado marked one year in the office and discussed what his administration’s accomplished so far.

He was appointed by Gov. Kathy Hochul in May 2022 following the resignation of Brian Benjamin.

Delgado explained what it has been like working with New York’s first female governor. She’s also the first governor from upstate New York since 1920.

Delgado reflected on being the first person of color to represent upstate New York in Congress and explained how it prepared him for his role as lieutenant governor.

He also discussed his pro-bono work in connection with criminal justice reform and celebrated the 50th anniversary of hip hop.

Delgado talked about his previous career in the music industry and explains how he empowered young people through hip hop.
