Veteran NY1 anchor Lewis Dodley joins “In Focus” to celebrate 30 years with NY1.
He joined the news industry at 17 years old in Columbus, Ohio.
NY1 went on air on Sept. 8, 1992, becoming the city’s first 24-hour television news station.
Both he and Cheryl Wills have been with NY1 since the beginning.
With a career spanning over four decades, Dodley reflects on some of his most memorable experiences reporting in the field, including his trip to the DMZ in South Korea and the Vatican.
While a lot has changed over the 30 years NY1 has been on the air, what viewers want has remained the same.
