Brooklyn Councilman Kalman Yeger joins “In Focus” to discuss the record amount of anti-Semitic attacks across New York.

The Anti-Defamation League reports a 325% increase in anti-Semitic assaults from last year; more than half of the attacks against the Jewish community have been in Brooklyn.

Yeger discusses what needs to be done to protect Jewish New Yorkers in his borough and explains why education can’t fix the hate.

Last year, there were 416 anti-Semitic incidents across the state- that’s the highest on record since the Anti-Defamation League began compiling data back in 1979. New York City is home to the largest Jewish population in the world outside of Israel and Yeger represents the highest number of Holocaust survivors in the world outside of Israel.

He explains how we can continue to stand with the Jewish community and remember the lives lost during the Holocaust.
