In Focus concludes with a one-on-one interview with Corey Peagues, the author of “Once A Cop.” He’s also the subject of the explosive, new documentary “Cops and Robbers.”

The documentary follows Pegues as he rose through the ranks of the NYPD while concealing his criminal past. As a teenager, Pegues sold crack cocaine for the notorious Supreme Team gang in Jamaica, Queens. He quit when he turned 18.

In a no-holds-barred conversation with Cheryl Wills, Peagues discusses what led him up to that as a teen, the challenging transition to the NYPD and what can be done to stop kids from falling into the same trap today. Now retired from the force, Pegues reveals why he hid his past and responds to critics who feel he dishonored the badge.

He also talks about how his community is responding to the documentary and shares his thoughts on the mayor’s plan to end gun violence.
