The Rooftop at Pier 17 at the Seaport in Manhattan, which started welcoming concerts and fans in 2018, offers a view of the city and music.
“Our stage right here with the Brooklyn Bridge as it’s backdrop, and then more than enough space for your 3500 best friends to see the concert of their choice,” Craig Manfra, Senior Director of Marketing at the venue, said.
The rooftop is five stories above the East River, with panoramic views of the river and city landmarks like the Statue of Liberty, Empire State Building and the Brooklyn Bridge.
There’s no other venue where you physically play New York City’s skyline, we really think it’s New York City’s most scenic concert venue," he said.
The rooftop has played host to everyone from Gladys Knight and Ringo Starr, to Billy Eilish and the Fugees.
This season there are over 60 shows through October, featuring Barenaked Ladies, The Pixies, Modest Mouse, Bebe Rexha, Cake, Pink Martini, Trombone Shorty and Macklemore. It’s all part of an eclectic mix of performers for the rooftop venue.
“New York City is obviously a very diverse city, so we book that way a very diverse lineup of all genres. rising acts, superstars, R and B to Reggae to Pop to Blue Grass, we literally have it all and want to provide it for all those fans in New York City to enjoy,” he said.
