Christmas may be five months away, but for a chef in the city, it's Christmas in July.
Jon Lovitch is hard at work on his annual GingerBread Lane exhibit. He spends the entire year making gingerbread houses for his display at his home in Forest Hills.
He has been recognized several times by Guinness World Records for building the largest entirely edible gingerbread village.
For many years, his GingerBread Lane was put on display at the Hall of Science in Queens. For the last two years, it was moved to Long Island because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
This holiday season, it will return to the city in a new location on the Lower East Side.
