1. Community group criticizes city’s response to MPS lead issue, city says attack isn’t merited 

A group of parents are growing a grassroots advocacy group called Lead Safe Schools MKE. The group is circulating an online petition demanding more answers from MPS and the Milwaukee Health Department (MHD). It's also encouraging Milwaukee residents to call the Milwaukee Mayor’s Office, Common Council members and state representatives to demand quicker action in lead remediation.

2. U.S. trade war with China has one Wisconsin soybean farmer losing sleep

China is the third-biggest buyer of U.S. agricultural products. That has many farmers across Wisconsin and the country anxious about how the trade war between the U.S. and China will affect them financially. Trade between the two countries is likely to be affected after President Donald Trump imposed a 145% tariff on imports from China, and China retaliated with a 125% tariff on American goods. One soybean farmer from Wisconsin is worried about his bottom line.

3. Outagamie emergency officials teaming up to keep the NFL Draft safe

The start of the NFL draft in Green Bay is now a little over a week away, and all of the city's months of planning are now being implemented across Titletown. That includes making sure everyone is safe during the event. 

4. How to file for an extension, and other Tax Day advice

If you’ve waited till the last minute to file your taxes, don’t panic. You still have time to get it done. And if you're worried that you still might not be able to finish in time, you can file for an extension, which will give you until Oct. 16 to file your return.

5. Court says Homeland Security cannot revoke UW student's visa, for now

On Tuesday, the court granted a temporary restraining that prevents Homeland Security from revoking the Krish Lal Isserdasani’s visa. The order also prevents Homeland Security from detaining him until a preliminary injunction hearing on April 28.

Scott Yocco spent decades in the fire service at the Racine Fire Department. He retired as a lieutenant and has been working as an artist ever since.

Yocco creates custom works of art with copper. He creates items like crosses, tables, lamps and much more through his business, Yocco Custom Copper.

“I do enjoy it,” Yocco said. “There is no feeling like it.” “Once it’s finished and it’s all together. It just pops. It comes together nicely. It’s very rewarding. There is nothing like it that I’ve experienced.”
