“Gladiator II” and “Wicked” are being dubbed “Glicked” by some who are seeing parallels with 2023’s dual release of “Barbie” and “Oppenheimer,” which together were a box office juggernaut. 

“Wicked,” the big screen adaptation of the award-winning Broadway classic, opened with $112 million at the domestic box office, and “Gladiator II” opened with $55 million, compared with “Oppenheimer’s” $82.4 million and “Barbie’s” $155 million in 2023.
